Sing Like You Speak™ Students ROCK!

Teaching is such a privilege for me. I love teaching – rather be teaching than doing anything else. And my students are the best. They may not be famous – yet – they are good artists and musicians and I want you to join me in cheering them on! Here’s the news:

A certain voice student, who shall remain nameless at the moment, is negotiating with Def Jam/Rock-a-Fella Records on a possible signing deal!

Vocal acting student Jacqueline Murphy has just returned from a triumphant 5 months in LA where she worked with a manager and several agents, booked a national network commercial, did a spot on a Nickelodeon series and in general, hobnobbed with the ‘in’ crowd of Hollywood.

Voice student Sandra Small has been gigging with her band Small World Band at The Groove in the West Village here in NYC. Watch for them in July.

Edmerald was just cast in a show at the Public Theater playing a Filipino rock singer!

9 yr old student Rebecca and I, along with master songwriter, Alex Forbes, wrote and recorded an adorable song for her teacher as an end-of-the-year gift. Take a listen!

Susan D has been in the recording studio with arranger/producer Jon Gordon working on her original songs.

Anita Flannigan will be traveling to Sacramento to do Anything Goes this summer.

Margaret Montovan will be performing in Something Outrageous at the 45th St Theater in July here in Manhattan. ALSO, Margaret is playing an Irish immigrant in the TV show Boardwalk Empire.
